About Battuta
Battuta is a set of free geography games played on a 3D globe. Find countries, flags, capitals and borders, alone or against friends.
Why it exists
A map is easier to remember once you have found the places on it yourself. Every game is short, works on a phone, and can be narrowed to one continent, so you can learn the world a region at a time.
There are no ads, accounts or cookies. Plays are counted anonymously to see which games people enjoy.
The name
The site is named after Ibn Battuta, the 14th-century traveller from Tangier who spent nearly thirty years crossing Africa, the Middle East and Asia and described it in his Rihla, which also gives one of the games its name.
